Instructions for Obtaining an OUNet 4x4 for iRIS Access
The University of Oklahoma will provide each RSU researcher with an OU user name (4x4) and password for access to “iRIS”, the University of Oklahoma’s IRB electronic submission system. The process to set up their individual account for access to iRIS is below:
- RSU researcher submits a request to RSU designated representative: Daniel Marangoni, Director of Research and Sponsored Programs for Rogers State University, with the below information:
Date of Birth: Year (YYYY) Month (MM) Day (DD)
Status: Faculty or Student
Faculty or Student’s Email Address: Rogers State Email Address
- Daniel Marangoni submits an email request with the researcher’s information to OU Norman IRB Staff Assistant, Shelly Smith, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This Process may take a few days!
- Once your new OUNet (4x4) exception account request has been processed with the University of Oklahoma Information Technology (IT), the researcher will receive the email noted below with a link for the researcher to visit and set up their password to be able to access iRIS, the OU IRB’s electronic submission system.
"OUNet Account Activation
Your exception account request has been processed. Please visit this link (New Account Setup) https://accounts.ou.edu/Account/NewAccountSetup You will be asked to enter your Date of Birth and new Username (OUNetID), this is the below 4x4 Number. After filling in the appropriate information you will be taken to a page to create a password in order for you to access iRIS, the OU IRB’s electronic submission system. Here is the information that you will need to keep on file:
RSU Researcher Name: First and Last Name
OU Assigned: 4x4 Number:
Email: Your University’s email Address
Your account will remain active through Expiration Date. If you wish to extend the account beyond that date, please contact the OU/IRB office to renew your OUNet Account at (405) 325-8110 or by email Shelly: email@example.com."
- This OUNet account will remain active for one year from date of the request being submitted. Before your account expires, you will receive three (3) emails: 30 days, 15 days, and 1 day prior to expiration.
