IRB Consultations and Meeting Requests

Consultations provide an opportunity for researchers to meet in-person, by phone, or Zoom, with an IRB staf member. The purpose of these meetings is to provide education and guidance to research teams prior to submitting IRB applications, modifications to approved studies, or submitting incident reports. Consultations are available upon request for any type of study, but we especially recommend them for:

  • Researchers new to the IRB review process that would like additional guidance before submitting their first IRB application.
  • Study teams conducting multi-site research who need to utilize a single, reviewing IRB.
  • Study teams considering making major changes to IRB-approved studies.
