Campus Impact: OUHSC only

As part of the updated IRB fee collection process change effective today, 7/1, the HSC Application and Relying on an External IRB Application have both been revised and published. The primary change to both applications is the addition of questions to collect the chart field spread information for the PI's department.

These questions cannot be hidden from ongoing/approved industry-sponsored studies. Therefore, at the time you create a revised application, must provide cost transfer information for the PI’s department to proceed through the form.

VA/DMEI Studies: The way IRB fees are invoiced and collected will not change.

Summary of Form Changes:

• HSC Application: Added new Section 2015 to obtain chart field spread information for the PI’s department. This will appear for all OU industry-sponsored studies.
• Relying on an External IRB Application:

• Section 50: Added email field for OU Health KSP question who do not have an iRIS account.
• Section 310:
  • Added textbox to explain why a study has not been routed through ORA/ORS for external-funded studies.
  • Added question to obtain financial billing contact information for the PI/for the study.
  • Added question to obtain chart field spread information for the PI’s department.
